Picture this: The sun is shining; the air is clean. Bicycling between Santa Clara and North San José is joyful. No traffic, no congestion. The Bay Area's first "bicycle superhighway" is a safe, comfortable bicycle route that connects to workplaces, homes, parks, shopping, and more.

VTA is working to make this vision a reality as part of the Central Bikeway Study. Over the next year, VTA will need the community’s help to understand bicycling challenges, desired destinations, and what features make a bicycle ride feel safe, comfortable, and joyful. Join the first round of virtual community meetings to learn more about the project and share what’s great (and not so great) about bicycling between Santa Clara and North San José: Wednesday, Oct. 28 from noon to 1:30 pm or Thursday, Oct. 29 from 6 to 7:30 pm.

This study will build upon work in the recently completed City of Santa Clara Bicycle Plan.
