Today, March 26, is a National Day of Action and Healing to stop hate against the Asian Pacific Islander community. VTA stands in solidarity with those working to stop the rising tide of violence that Asian Americans have experienced, especially throughout the pandemic.
Whether it’s on public transit, on the street, or even at their workplace, many Asian Americans have faced a relentless increase in attacks this year.
VTA has zero tolerance for any action on our transit system that threatens the safety of those who use public transit services. We urge everyone to report any acts of racism, xenophobia or violence that occurs on VTA’s transit system - or anywhere - to help us ensure our passengers, employees, and the communities we proudly serve are safe from hate, violence, and harm.
No one should live in fear of discrimination, racism, and violence. We encourage you to join today in honoring the victims of anti-Asian violence and push back against racism, sexism, and anti-Asian violence. Show your support through today’s Virtual Day of Action: pledge to support the Asian American community and #StopAsianHate.
