Celebrate diversity in action with VTA at the 44th Annual Silicon Valley Pride Festival & Parade in downtown San Jose on August 24 and 25. VTA will have a specially wrapped Pride bus in the parade which will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday and travel along Market Street at Julian Street and end at the main entrance of the festival at Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park. The festivities begin on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and continue after the parade on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
VTA Light Rail is a great way to get to Pride weekend as well as VTA Bus Lines 22, 23, 63, 64, 66, 68, 72, 73, 81 (Saturday only), 82, 181, 323, or 522.
Due to continued light rail system improvement work, substitute bus service will be in effect between Civic Center and San Fernando/Tamien stations. Festival goers taking the train can simply get off at these stations and catch a bus that will be waiting for you to take you to Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park. Simply deboard at either Santa Clara or Convention Center stops (Paseo de San Antonio is closed) and you’re there!
VTA Ambassadors will also be available to help with directions and customer information.
